Fall Career Camp at Loews Royal Pacific: Three Days of Growth, Confidence, and New Possibilities

This fall, participants in Magnify’s Career Camp had the incredible opportunity to learn and explore at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando. Thanks to our long-standing partnership with Loews, students spent three days learning in an on-site classroom, exploring departments throughout the hotel, and building the skills they need to take their next steps with confidence.

Career Camp is more than a workshop — it’s a hands-on experience that helps participants discover their strengths, practice professionalism, and imagine what is possible for their future. Here’s a look at the journey they took over three meaningful days.

Day 1: Building Foundations and Strengths

Participants began by building a strong classroom community by setting clear learning expectations, practicing teamwork, and discovering their own interests and abilities. Magnify staff introduced core concepts like communication, strengths-based exploration, and problem-solving. A behind-the-scenes tour of Guest Services allowed participants to see hospitality careers in action and imagine where their gifts might shine.

Day 2: Preparing for the World of Work

Day 2 focused on practical job readiness. Participants learned how to present themselves professionally, practiced decision-making for everyday workplace situations, and worked on building resumes and job applications. They also strengthened their interview skills through guided instruction and mock interviews. Transportation training empowered students to understand how to access work independently, giving them a clearer path toward employment.

Day 3: Bringing Confidence and Goals Together

On the final day, participants pulled everything together — reviewing key lessons, practicing career knowledge through games, and setting individualized goals for their next steps. A conversation with the Maintenance Department helped them explore new career pathways, and a certificate celebration honored each participant’s courage, growth, and commitment throughout the week.
