PROGRAMS

Spark programs empower students with disabilities by offering them early access to career exploration, hands-on work-based learning, and comprehensive preparation for a successful transition into adulthood. Through personalized support and practical experiences, we aim to ignite their passions, build their skills, and equip them with the tools they need to lead a fulfilling and productive life.

Career Camp

Through its innovative approach, Career Camp is expanding the definition of employability and raising awareness about the valuable contributions people with disabilities can make in the workforce. Career Camp is a career exploration and work-readiness program for students with disabilities ages 14-21. Participants learn job-readiness skills, explore career options, and build self-advocacy skills.

Project SEARCH

Project SEARCH is a unique, unpaid, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at the workplace, serving young people (ages 18-21) with disabilities in their last year of high school. Project SEARCH combines real-life work experience with training in employability and independent living skills, helping young people with disabilities make successful transitions to productive adult life.

Work-based Learning Experience

A work-based learning experience presents a valuable chance for employers to serve as mentors to individuals with disabilities (ages 14 to 21), aiding them in cultivating the necessary skills to achieve their desired career objectives. The trainee holds a regular position and is paid at least the minimum wage.

Pre-ETS Services

Pre-ETS Services provide youth with practical, real-world experiences that build confidence and prepare them for future success. Through Youth Work Readiness Training, participants complete 20 hours of structured, interactive learning that combines instruction with hands-on activities. Self-Advocacy Training helps individuals clearly communicate their strengths, goals, and needs when pursuing postsecondary education or employment. Informational interviews offer valuable insight through conversations with professionals in fields of interest, while job shadowing and workplace tours provide firsthand exposure to different career environments and daily job responsibilities.
