PROGRAMS

These programs empower students with disabilities by offering them early access to career exploration, hands-on work-based learning, and comprehensive preparation for a successful transition into adulthood. Through personalized support and practical experiences, we aim to ignite their passions, build their skills, and equip them with the tools needed to achieve a fulfilling and productive life.

A personalized and enjoyable assessment approach involves spending time in environments where this young individual thrives to effectively uncover their unique talents and passions. This will ultimately assist in identifying a well-suited employment goal for their future.

Through its innovative approach, Career Camp is expanding the definition of employability and raising awareness about the valuable contributions people with disabilities can make in the workforce. Career Camp is a paid work experience program for students with disabilities (ages 14-21). Participants learn job-readiness skills, explore different career options, and gain self-advocacy tools to help them thrive in the workplace.

A work-based learning experience presents a valuable chance for employers to serve as mentors to individuals with disabilities (ages 14 to 21), aiding them in cultivating the necessary skills to achieve their desired career objectives. The trainee holds a regular position and is paid no less than minimum wage.

Project SEARCH is a unique, unpaid, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at the workplace, serving young people (ages 18-21) with disabilities in their last year of high school. Project SEARCH combines real-life work experience with training in employability and independent living skills helping young people with disabilities make successful transitions to productive adult life.

All Spark programs are funded by Florida’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR). If you are not currently a VR client, and you would like to participate, start by filling out this form.
